Imaging Innovations: It’s Role in the Diagnosis and Management of Systemic Disease

Course Description
This annual course provides knowledge of recent technological advances in imaging techniques and protocols with a focus on how cardiovascular imaging plays a vital role in the care of the cardiovascular patient. Our expert imaging faculty from the Spectrum Health Frederik Meijer Heart & Vascular Institute has designed this year’s Imaging Innovations focus to be on Managing Your Patient’s Imaging Care to provide an understanding of how cardiovascular imaging assists health care providers in evaluating and managing patients with common or complex cardiovascular conditions.

Intended Audience
The intended audience includes cardiologists, internists, anesthesiologists, radiologists, critical care physicians, cardiovascular imaging technologists, sonographers, residents, students, fellows and other healthcare providers.

Program Objectives
Upon completion of this program, participants will be able to:

  •  Integrate multimodality imaging information in today’s broad array of cardiovascular disease.
  • Comprehensively describe echocardiographic measures of diastolic dysfunction, strain and their pitfalls.
  • Explain the pearls of multimodality imaging with ECG in the evaluation of patients with chest pain, arrhythmias, athletic heart and valvular disease.

Grand Rapids Medical Education Partners is accredited by the Michigan State Medical Society to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
