Carol Darwin, RD, LD will follow the eating disordered patient from diagnosis, through treatment and beyond.

Learning Objectives:
  1. Discuss the changes in the DSM-V with respect to diagnosis and treatment.
  2. Describe the biopsychosocial etiology of eating disorders.
  3. Identify predisposing factors that may contribute to the development of an eating disorder.
  4. Explain the critical importance of a collaborative relationship between the therapist, dietitian and physician/nurse.
  5. Describe several factors that can interfere with progress in treatment.
  6. List the criteria used to determine recovery from an eating disorder.
