Registration Deadline: Thursday, March 14, 2013

Join Cherry Bekaert for an educational seminar on the Service Contract Act (SCA).

The Department of Labor is placing a renewed emphasis on compliance/enforcement actions regarding the SCA. Failure to comply with the SCA can result in severe penalties being imposed on a contractor, including suspension or debarment from government contracting. Therefore, it is important for contractors to understand the basics of what is required of them under the SCA.

We will present the history and purpose of the Service Contract Act and discuss to whom it applies and when. Key terms and primary requirements will be introduced alongside of a discussion of Bona Fide Benefit Plans, common computational issues and recent regulatory changes.

As a result of this seminar, attendees will be better equipped to comply with the SCA terms of their contracts and lessen the possibility that they will be the subject of an adverse DoL compliance audit.
