Robert is the key contact for Sterling’s Government Contractor Finance.  A former business owner and entrepreneur himself, Robert brings to the table a unique understanding and familiarity of the challenges owners face in growing and running their business. Robert joined Sterling in 2003 as Director of Credit & Collections and was quickly recognized for his abilities in assisting our clients in managing and growing their businesses. Prior to joining Sterling, Robert ran his own consulting business providing Accounts Receivable Management, Collections and Paralegal services to clients servicing the government and private sectors. Drawing from his 25 years of experience, Robert has been successful in educating and assisting clients enabling them to grow their businesses while managing their day to day operations, receivables and overall risk.

Bradley Smith, CPA – Partner, Cherry Bekaert LLP

Brad focuses on providing accounting, compliance, contract and training services to government contractors. He has extensive experience in directing the regulatory compliance function, risk management, dispute negotiation and resolution, M&A due diligence and compliance with statutes and regulations. Brad has also trained business process owners and employees on U.S. government contractor regulatory requirements and statutes, conducted complex testing/monitoring of core government compliance areas and established an initial baseline of compliance performance across a multibillion dollar contractor.

Michael LaCorte, CPA – Manager, Cherry Bekaert LLP
Mike specializes in governmental cost accounting, business systems, regulatory compliance, litigation support, and M&A due diligence. He has extensive experience with the Cost Accounting Standards and has completed multiple cost impact models relating to several CAS standards. Mike has experience with several governmental business systems, including accounting, estimating, and purchasing. In addition to conducting discounted cash flow analysis for contractors, he has also been involved in several buy-side M&A due diligence efforts and has supported litigation efforts for lost profits recovery and contract termination settlements.

• CPE certificates stating amount of recommended CPE credit

Refund and Cancellation Policy
Cherry Bekaert reserves the right to cancel or reschedule any training courses up to 10 business days prior to the date of the event. Full refunds will be provided to registered course participants if the course is cancelled or if participants are unable to attend the rescheduled event.
