PESTOLA 2016 Conference is an annual conference designed for health care professionals helping children with diabetes and endocrine disorders. Participants will be able to improve their diagnostic and therapeutic practice through access to the most current information in this specialized field. Program speakers include pediatric endocrinologists from Cook Children's, Texas Children's, MD Anderson, Baylor College of Medicine, University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, Barbara Davis Center for Childhood Diabetes, OU Medical Center, and The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.
1. Discuss clinical signs and symptoms of pediatric endocrine problems
2. Explain the current management of specific pediatric endocrine problems
This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and Policies of the Texas Medical Association (TMA) through the joint sponsorship of Cook Children's Medical Center and the Pediatric Endocrinology Society of Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, and Arkansas (PESTOLA).
Cook Children's is accredited by the Texas Medical Association to provide contuining medical education for physicians. Cook Children's designates this education activity for a maximum of 8.5 AMA PR Category 1 Credit(s). Physicians should only claim credit commensurate wtih the extent of their participation in the activity. This presentation has been designated by Cook Children's Medical Center for 1.0 hours of ethics/professional responsibility.
Cook Children's Medical Center is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the Texas Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.
This activity provides 8.50 credit hours. You must attend the activity in its entirety as well as complete and return the evaluation tool.
