Systematic Reviews: Literature Database Selection, Search Strategies & Reference Management

A well-designed literature review is a critical part of any systematic review or meta-analysis. This presentation will provide you with the tools, strategies and expertise necessary for an efficient and comprehensive literature review. At the end of the session, you will be able to: a) select the databases that are appropriate for your research topic, b) develop effective search strategies that capitalize on the strengths of each of these databases, c) create automated "alerts" that email new references matching your saved searches, and, d) select the best tools for managing your references, PDFs, and bibliographies.
