STATA: An Introduction for the Life and Clinical Sciences

This seminar will provide a brief overview of Stata's data management, graphics and statistical analysis capabilities. We will begin with a short introduction to the interface and then discuss topics such as importing, merging and reshaping data and demonstrate how to create basic and advanced graphics. We will then embark on a whirl-wind tour of Stata's basic statistical features including topics such as summary statistics, tables, t-tests, ANOVA and regression as well as more advance features such as survival analysis, analysis of complex survey data, multiple imputation, multilevel modelling and structural equation modelling.
