Understanding the Culture of Poverty
 

During this course, participants will define poverty and distinguish between situational and generational poverty. Participants will be introduced to the concepts of the culture of poverty, scarcity and slack, as well as the concept of intersectionality across social factors. The training will explore the connections between poverty, trauma and toxic stress; as well as the impact of toxic stress on childhood brain development.


Registration fee is $40, which includes 3 Continuing Eduction Hours.
