Pro Tools Expert | S6 (Train-the-Trainer)

OVERVIEW

This workshop is designed to train and certify Pro Tools Operator ACIs on the two Pro Tools S6 courses in Avid Education's portfolio:  PT301:  Essential Pro Tools | S6 Mixing Techniques, and Pro Tools 310 | S6: Advanced Pro Tools | S6 Mixing Workflows.  Like all "train-the-trainer" courses, this class will educate instructors on the concepts and techniques taught in the courses, investigate the design of the courseware, and review key points of the hands-on exercises and practical exams.

The Essential Pro Tools | S6 Mixing Techniques course covers the core concepts and skills students need to operate an Avid Pro Tools | S6 system in a professional production environment. This course builds on the information provided in the Pro Tools 200-level courses, and the material presented in this courseware which provides the foundation for the Pro Tools 310 | S6: Advanced Pro Tools | S6 Mixing Workflows courseware.

The components of the PT301 | S6 course includes five lessons provided in the course book, and hands-on practice with an instructor. This is the fifth course in a series designed to prepare candidates for Pro Tools Expert Certification in advanced control surface techniques.

Upon successful completion of the 300-level series Pro Tools | S6 courseware (PT301S6 and PT310S6), students will be eligible to take Avid’s Pro Tools Expert Certification exams.

Candidates wishing to take this certification exam must have first passed the Avid Certified User: Pro Tools certification exam as well as either the Avid Certified Operator: Pro Tools | Music or Avid Certified Operator: Pro Tools | Post certification exam.
 

The Advanced Pro Tools | S6 Mixing Workflows course uses a blended learning approach offering online e-learning materials followed by a practical classroom course to give hands-on experience of this highly configurable control surface. This course moves through the basics of setting up and assigning the S6 modules, configuring the console with Pro Tools software, and advanced navigation and automation workflows, giving you an in-depth understanding of techniques that can be applied to gain more operational efficiency.

This course will lead you through to Avid Certified Expert Pro Tools | S6 Certification.

Candidates wishing to take this certification exam must have firstly passed the Avid Certified User: Pro Tools certification exam as well as either the Avid Certified Operator: Pro Tools | Music or Avid Certified Operator: Pro Tools | Post certification exam.

• Be ready to sit the associated certification exam

Prerequisites

 

• Certification as an Pro Tools Music Operator ACI or Pro Tools Post Operator ACI, v.12 or above
• 3+ years teaching Pro Tools
• Professional experience mixing with Avid control surfaces in Pro Tools
