Effectively Working With & Advocating for LGBTQ Youth CTLE

Learning Objectives of the Course/Educational Activity:
- Participants will be able to describe the developmental models used in the assessment of LGBTQ youth
- Participants will be able to recognize and use terms and language important to respecting individuals in the LGBTQ community
- Participants will be able to understand the difference between sexual orientation and gender identity
- Participants will be able to understand the process of coming out and be able to identify barriers faced by their clients regarding this process.
- Participants will be able to identify best practices in working with and for LGBTQ youth
- Participants will be able to appropriately advocate for LGBTQ youth
- Participants will learn and be able to create safe, inclusive spaces for LGBTQ youth
- Participants will learn and understand intersectionality in respect to LGBTQ youth
Registration fee is $65, which includes 6 CTLE Credit Hours.
