Exploring Adverse Community Environments

This workshop will discuss the impact of “Adverse Community Environments” such as systemic discrimination, community trauma, and economic exploitation on children, families and communities. Participants will draw connections between Adverse Childhood Experiences and Adverse Community Environments, known as the “Pair of ACEs.” Tools for building community resilience and fostering community care within families will be reviewed and practiced. Note: while it is not required, it is recommended that participants have some familiarity with Adverse Childhood Experiences prior to attending this workshop.

The fee for this training is $45, which includes 3 continuing education hours.
