Understanding and Managing Compassion Fatigue and Vicarious Trauma

This web based, interactive offering defines and explores compassion fatigue and vicarious trauma as they relate to the role of a person working with children and families.Participants will identify warning signs for their own risk of both compassion fatigue and vicarious trauma. The workshop will explore the importance of self-care for human service professionals, most especially while working amidst the COVID-19 crisis. Participants will have the opportunity to share self-care ideas and techniques, as well as develop a plan for their own care.

The fee for this training is $43, which includes 3 continuing education hours.
