Caring for Children Who Have Experienced Trauma CTLE

This training will discuss the definition of trauma, traumatic stress, and other key terms and apply these concepts to the children we work with. Participants will gain a better understanding of the crucial role caregivers play in the healing process.
Learning Objectives:
  1. Participants will learn and practice the skills needed to help traumatized children manage their emotions and behavior;
  2. Participants will be able identify strategies to help children develop and use their strengths
  3. Participants will be able to discuss ways to help traumatized children to develop and maintain positive, stable, and enduring relationships
  4. Participants will be able to implement steps to become empowered in one’s role as an advocate for traumatized children
  5. Participants will be able to practice self-care techniques and identify techniques for children and families to use during treatment.
Registration fee is $110 which includes 10 CTLE Credit Hours.
