Our Inpatient Rehabilitation Division is hosting Grand Rounds webinars.  These webinars are designed to share knowledge throughout the Dvision and cover a wide range of interesting topics.
 

Topic:
A Revolutionary Approach to Discharge to the Community


Objectives:
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be better able to:
1. Discuss a variety of perspectives relating to community discharge from a rehabilitation hospital
2. Consider information, beliefs, and misconceptions regarding community discharge
3. Reflect on opportunities for improving community discharge outcomes in your setting


Requirements for Successful Completion:
In order to receive credit, participants must view the activity in its entirety, complete the evaluation, and post-test with a score of at least 80%.  There are no pre-requisites and there is no fee to participate in this activity or to receive CME credit.  Statements of credit are awarded upon successful completion and submission of the evaluation form.

Speaker: Bruce Pomeranz, MD, MMM


Bruce Pomeranz, MD, MMM, is Chief Quality Officer for Inpatient Rehabilitation for Select Medical, Senior Medical Officer and Director of Amputee Rehabilitation for Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation, and Associate Professor of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School.


Dr. Pomeranz earned his medical degree from the University of Illinois, completed residency in PM&R at Mount Sinai in New York, and received a Master’s degree in medical management from the University of Southern California. He is board-certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation, pain medicine, and neuromuscular and electrodiagnostic medicine.


Dr. Pomeranz has published and presented at meetings within Select Medical as well as on topics related to physical medicine and rehabilitation and medical quality at national and international meetings.
